Animal Care @ Quintessential Quarters
Our daily routine is divided into two areas: looking
after each animal and maintaining a safe, clean and comfortable environment
for them. After all, our priority is the health and welfare of each
boarder.
We keep their sleeping and exercise areas clean and hygienic, giving
them regular exercise and play, high quality food and making sure that
they are comfortable and happy at all times.

Medication
Recognising that things aren't quiet right is very important, little
things will tell us that your pet is unwell. It could be a loss of appetite,
feeling lethargic or a change in its normal behaviour, so early detection
and taking action is essential. If this were to happen, we have a very
special area where we can monitor your pet and keep a record of any changes.
Sometimes it is necessary to seek medical attention.
The owner, Karen Flint, is a qualified nurse and has the responsibility
and experience to administer prescribed medicines according to instructions
given by the client's Veterinary Surgeon.
If your pet is on medication then a medical chart/record is signed by
you identifying the prescription and dosage.
During the guest's stay, each dose given is recorded on a medical chart.
The document is produced for you prior to departure.
Each guest is fully insured against any untimely illness or injury during
its stay. Pre-existing conditions do not apply.
Vaccinations
Please note that in accordance with the Animal Boarding Establishment
Act 1963, a current vaccination certificate must be produced for each
animal on the day of arrival other wise boarding will be refused.
We ask that all boarders are fully vaccinated, wormed and regularly
treated for fleas. All tom cats must be neutered and we strongly recommend
Pentofel, the vaccine against cat 'flu. All dogs must be vaccinated against
Bordetella bronchiseptica (Bb) - kennel cough. Please consult your Veterinary
Surgeon for more information.
Please come along and take advantage of our open door policy. No appointment
is necessary, but please be aware that there may be a small wait due to
our commitment to caring for the boarders. |
